The Department of History, Philosophy and Political Science at Kingsborough Community College is seeking adjunct faculty for the 2019-2020 academic year, to teach undergraduate courses in the following areas:

  • American History and related topics

-European or World History and related topics

-Introduction to Criminal Justice

-Philosophy: Ancient and Modern

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.


For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.


Adjunct Lecturer: $71.59 - $89.12/hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $81.20 - $96.38/hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $87.54 - $107.28/hour

Adjunct Professor: $97.11 - $118.19/hour

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
